NEW Danglepuck Prototype Tests

We made a prototype of our new Danglepuck design and the first tests are in!

(the prototype had two design surfaces, one on each side. The ring design won out and was used as the final "new design" measurement.

A 6.1 ounce version of the new design had a glide distance of 45.125 in.
A 5.8 ounce version of the original design had a glide distance of 43.177 in.

(tests were done using an electronic solenoid, ensuring push force is same)

If the new design weighed 5.8 ounces we can assume it would have gone 47.46 inches beating the original design by 4.283 inches or 9.9% more.

Next steps is to make the prototype puck weight be exactly 5.8 ounces and re-rerun the test.

It's still early but looks like we managed to increase the glide distance of the original design by 9.9% which means we're 70% the glide distance of real ice after it's been used for an hour. That doesn't sound impressive, but compared to off-ice standards and in-person tests of the original design, I think it's a big deal!
Anyone who gets Danglemat + Danglepuck will get the latest version of the Dangelpuck that's being worked on.
